Lord, teach us to pray.
Life in Moria is a local house of prayer on the Greek island of Lesvos. We’re here to blow the trumpet and gather the people.
We seek to do this in two restful and urgent ways:

We mobilize prayer by gathering a diverse local community of Greeks, refugees and missionaries.

We pioneer revival by learning to sit at His feet and hear His voice, even in the midst of humanitarian catastrophe.

This battle is not ours, but God's.

About us.
​
Life in Moria is a diverse community of local Greeks, Middle Eastern refugees and, mostly, missionaries from the US and Europe living in close proximity on Lesvos, supported by a global family of intercessors.
​
We come together in a regular rhythm of prayer and worship themed events: from prayer walks in the refugee camp to weekly prayer breakfasts, from breaking bread in our homes to twice yearly special events.
​
We're standing firm on God’s specific and strategic promises for this unique place. We’re putting His name on the people here. And we’re praying His kingdom come to Lesvos for His name’s sake.
​
We believe prayer and worship is the fuel and finish line of God's missionary strategy for the Eastern Mediterranean Region in these days.

Who We're Learning From

We often get asked "what is a House of Prayer?" The truth is, we're in the process of discovering this for ourselves!
While we’re thankful for an abundance of good examples from all over the world, we believe Life in Moria is a unique expression: we borrow from many examples without being much like any.

A Local House of Prayer is a coming together of two or three people, more if possible, with a very clear intention: to see the Kingdom of God, the rule of God, break out with power in their immediate community.

A Call to Build the House of the LORD
“I am with you,” declares the LORD.
​
Back in 2019 when Life in Moria's founders Marcus and Emily Letts responded to God's call to come and live on Lesvos we heard Him say "Build my house." Since then we've learned the hard way not to try to build it, but rather to let Him grow it!
It's like He's commanded us to stay here and watch with me.
​
Then in 2020, less then 24 hours after buying our www.lifeinmoria.com domain, Moria camp burned down.
​
Nevertheless we stand convicted. This is what He said, and so we boldly prophesy beauty for ashes in Moria and on Lesvos, in Jesus' name.
